In one line
Flows and outputs bill by the hour, and transport-stream data transfer bills per GB on top.
What gets missed
A running flow charges hourly whether or not it is passing traffic, and every output adds its own hourly rate. Only a flow left in standby is free. Reserved outbound bandwidth locks you into a 12-month commitment.
Find it on your bill
Filter Cost Explorer or your Cost and Usage Report by these usage types. A usage type with no region prefix means us-east-1.
