What gets missed
There is no data transfer charge on the DMS node itself, which lulls people. The instance is the meter and it runs until deleted. Zero-ETL integrations are the exception: priced per GB, CDC far above full load.

Filter Cost Explorer or your Cost and Usage Report by these usage types. A usage type with no region prefix means us-east-1.
