Amazon DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX)

  • Timebilled
  • Bytesnot billed
  • Unitsnot billed

In one line

Per node-hour for every node in the cluster, whether or not anything is hitting the cache.

What gets missed

DAX bills nodes, not cached reads, and a production cluster wants three nodes across AZs. The cluster keeps billing after traffic stops, and the DynamoDB reads it saves you are a separate, smaller line.
