What gets missed
Only the highest dimension counts: new connections, active connections, processed bytes or rule evaluations. A chatty low-byte API can bill entirely on connections and never touch the byte dimension.

Filter Cost Explorer or your Cost and Usage Report by these usage types. A usage type with no region prefix means us-east-1.
