In one line

Compute and a shared cluster volume. On Aurora Standard, every read and write I/O is its own metered request.

What gets missed

Moving a cluster to I/O-Optimized is allowed once every 30 days; moving back to Standard is unrestricted. Cross-AZ replication is free, but Global Database bills replicated write I/O per secondary Region.

Find it on your bill
